Based in Brighton & Hove, I've spent over a decade helping adults discover that it's never too late — and you don't need to learn boring exercises to play the music you love. Be that classic rock, pop, campfire, fingerstyle or songs to accompany your singing. I’m here to help you get going on guitar.

How I think about teaching guitar

Songs first, theory second
Theory is useful, but it's not why you picked up a guitar. We start with real songs and learn the underlying concepts along the way — when they're relevant, not before.

Your taste, your curriculum
I don't have a set syllabus you work through. Tell me what you listen to, and I'll build our lessons around that. Your songs are the best possible motivation to keep going.

Progress you can feel quickly
Nothing kills momentum like feeling like you're getting nowhere. I structure lessons, so you have something real to show for it within weeks — not months.

No judgement, no pressure
Adults often feel self-conscious about being a beginner. My sessions are relaxed, encouraging, and completely on your terms. There's no wrong pace.
