When I first started learning guitar, I nearly gave up. The lessons felt rigid, uninspiring, and focused on exercises that didn’t connect to the music I actually wanted to play.
So I decided to teach differently.

Absolutely not. Most of my students are adults who either never played before or tried years ago and want to pick it back up. Adults are often quicker learners than children; you have motivation and context on your side.

For your first lesson, no, I can provide one. After that, I'll help you find the right guitar for your budget if you don't already have one. Acoustic or electric, both are welcome.

Most students are playing recognisable parts of songs within the first couple of lessons.

My studio is near Preston Park in Brighton. I also offer home visits across Brighton & Hove for a small additional fee.

Perfect - complete beginners are very welcome. We start from scratch and build up properly from the beginning, no assumptions made.
